Mobil Engine oil

I have 265k on my 2002 Weekender purchased new. Run Mobil-1 0W-40. No problems with engine but transmission needs TLC.

Pros: no problems with engine
Cons: transmission needs TLC
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 265000 km

When I switched from Kirkland I noticed no condensation under the oil cap vs having a milky consistency under the cap. I think the hybrid oil deals with moisture better in these hybrid engines.

Pros: no condensation, better moisture control
Cons: milky consistency

Pros: used for 80k miles
Mileage: 128747 km

Mobil 1 is my go-to... mostly because the level gauge on the side of the container is easier to read than any other brand. I've been using it in my 2018 since new and have never had an issue. Odometer is currently at 260,000.

Pros: easy to read, no issues
Mileage: 260000 km

Mobil-1 5w30 ESP (what most ppl use since it’s cheap but I’ve heard it isn’t the best, was recommended these others by a guy who’s been dealing with/tuning German diesels forever)

Pros: cheap
Cons: not the best

I have been running Mobil 1 0w-40 since new with over 50k miles on different Big turbo(80k total miles) setups and always replacing seals and gaskets due to oil leaks(its some really thin oil).

Cons: oil leaks, too thin
Mileage: 80467 km
