Engine oil Mobil or Castrol

Castrol Engine oil

Many dealers use Castrol LL03 5W-30 and it makes a huge difference in MPG. I ran it for 7500 miles and had the oil tested.

Pros: huge difference in MPG
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 12070 km

Castrol Engine oil

I ran Edge 5w-30 in my APR 2.0 TSI last winter, had the used oil tested at CAT afterwards for $13, and it did a great job.

Pros: did a great job

Mobil Engine oil

When I dumped my dealer Syntec 5w-40 for M1 0w-30 in Dec, it was night-and-day. Way lighter and better.

Pros: lighter and better
Cons: 5w-40 is very thick

Just changed my oil in my '02 Camaro. It has the LS1 and just rolled over 150,000 miles. I use Mobil 1: 5w-30. It hasn't seen anything other than Mobil 1 so that's what I use haha.

Mileage: 150000 km

Castrol Engine oil

Castrol Syntech or Mobil One in 5w30 for the Volvo and 10w30 for the Ford. Mainly because I'm a lazy bastard that hates doing oil changes and the stuff lasts twice as long as regular oil. That, and I've had cars run over 400k using them exclusively.

Pros: lasts twice as long
Vehicle: Volvo
Mileage: 400000 km

Mobil Engine oil

Mobil 1 extended performance 5w-30. I don't drive many miles and I want the extra life of the oil in months. Plus Mobil 1 is factory fill on my LS2.

Pros: extra life of oil
