Engine oil Mobil or AMSOIL

Mobil Engine oil

I recommend using Mobil1 engine oil. It contains additives that extend your engine life. I’ve done a teardown of a Skyactiv engine that used Mobil1 and one that used Pennzoil. The Mobil1 engine looked a lot better than the Pennzoil one. I use it in my parents’ CX-9, no problems at all.

Pros: extend your engine life
Vehicle: Mazda

AMSOIL Engine oil

I have never used anything but Amsoil in my LB7 Duramax for 12 years. It has almost 350,000 miles on it. I use Amsoil in everything from the weedeater right on up to the Duramax. Never one issue, and I only change it about every 20,000 miles.

Pros: never one issue
Mileage: 563270 km

AMSOIL Engine oil

I keep using AMSoil after seeing a test results sheet from Blackstone (i think thats the labs name) for my 6.0. Tested after 15k miles and was better than 400 mile motorcraft.

Pros: better than motorcraft
Mileage: 24140 km

Mobil Engine oil

I've used 15w50 Mobil 1 with no problems. It wasn't bad. It acctually good. But, it didn't make one bit difference, so I've used it only once, and went back to the regular 0w40 Mobil 1.

Pros: acctually good
Cons: no difference
