Shell Engine oil

Walmart. Shell Rotella 5qt for $20. Or Mobil1 for less than $25 if they're out of the Shell and K&N filters always in stock.

Pros: good price, always stocked

I use the T6 as well and like it a lot. Other people in this forum have recommended in the past as it’s additives are supposed to be good the 4.0’s. Always worked well for me, it’s reputable, not the most expensive and if the additives do actually help, thats only ever a good thing.

Pros: reputable, good additives
Vehicle: Jeep Cherokee

Shell Engine oil

Can't go wrong with [Shell Rotella T6](https://rotella.shell.com/en_us/products/full-synthetic-and-blend-oil/t6-full-synthetic.html). Full synthetic, JASO-MA certified and cheap.

Pros: full synthetic, JASO-MA certified
Cons: none

Running Liqui-Moly in my E46 M3, so far no complaints. Have put ~2k miles in the last 10 months, and the oil hasn’t been burning/leaking whatsoever!

Pros: no complaints, no burning/leaking
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 3218 km
