Engine oil LIQUI MOLY or PENNZOIL

2017 Sport. Liquimoly Molygen. Every 7k…about to do my third oil change.

2010 Passat B6 with the 2.0T ea888 gen one engine. Different car, same engine. I run Pennzoil euro 0w40 in mine. 6-8k on the oil changes. Engine is quiet and smooth. 136k on it.

2015 mk7 with 115k miles stage 1 EQT. oil analysis always comes back very positive at these intervals.

as i am not currently tuned i run LiquiMoly 0w-20 and change the oil every 5k miles.

Just had my first oil analysis with penzoil platinum - black rock said I won’t need a change for around 5k miles with it

I've been running Pennzoil *Ultra* Platinum 5w-30 for the last 15k.

The Liqui Moly fully synthetic 5w-40 has similar properties at below -30° Celsius to many 0w-40 or 0w-30s. It is very good oil, I went from Mobil 1 0w-40 to the fully synthetic LM (also available from Meguin for a cheaper price) and it is definitely running smoother.

LiquiMoly in my 130k mile M3/4/5. For no real reason other than misplaced brand loyalty.

Running Liqui-Moly oil with a zinc additive has been keeping my 150k engine sounding good through 5 track days with 3 years of highway beatings in between.
