I’ve tested a few Liqui Moly mixtures and so far my favorite has actually been the Molygen though it’s not recommended it does meet their LL04 standard. Special Tec is a viable option as well and recommended by BMW. I’d say either is a great option for the longevity of the engine. I’ve had my car for 50k KM (20K Miles roughly) and I’ve had no issues whatsoever so far!
I use Castrol Edge or Liqui Moly, in both the cars.
I use LM2332 in my e46 and wouldn’t put any other oil in it. Great company great oil.
After using Castrol for \~16 years I switched reluctantly to Liquid Moly, I say reluctant because the Castrol was so highly suggested to use.
Result is that while using Castrol all of those years I would have to add 1/2 to 1 quart of oil in between 5-6K oil changes. I drive the car hard and was told mild oil burning is normal for the S54 engine.
I have been using the Liquid Moly for the last few years and I do not burn any oil in between changes, and my engine oil runs at a lower temperature then it ever has in the past.
I use 5w30. First time used Castrol, now I use Liqui Moly. Both worked great, the second one is cheaper in my country which is awesome because I’m changing the oil every 5k.
I change my oil between the service changes and use a indy shop. They charge $125 for liquid moli.
Liquimoly every 5k miles. I think keeping up with the maintenance and using good oil is the only reason this motor is still going.
Liqui Moly is a good oil. I use that in my BMW/VW.
The Rotella T4 isn‘t officially sold here in Europe. I use Liqui Moly touring high tech. It still got high ZDDP (>1200ppm). And it‘s also quite cheap.
Liqui Moly Special Tec w/ MoS2. 1K miles in, it’s quiet.
