Engine oil Castrol or RAVENOL

I like to use Castrol Edge Racing with the 278cc HPE2, made a big difference to running temps, top speed and effiviency.

I go for Castrol for BMW. Somehow this machine really likes it.

I’ve been using castrol edge euro 0w-40 for years and loved it. Seems to be discontinued, can’t find it anymore. That sucks, moving to mobil 1 euro 0w-40.

I run Castrol Power 1 in my KTM 350 4T. I'm just past 800 hrs with \~25hr oil changes. It meets the JASO specs my bike requires. I have not changed a clutch ever since I bought it at 280 hrs. I had the motor apart at 500hrs and the Nicasil bore coating was \*perfect\*. That was the last time I swapped out the piston.

5W40 Castrol

I use Castrol Edge. It's cheap and good. I drive a lot and I change oil every 3k miles so 5qt for $25 just fits my life better.

B46 which is essentially a B48 engine. 105000km. Running Castrol Euro Car 5W30 in the summer and 0W30 winter. Live in Canada so the ambient temp can range from -30C to +35C.

Ravenol VST 5w40 for now when my oil usage is nearly 1L for 1000km and I will probably go for the Ravenol RCS 5w40 after I rebuild the motor.

Avoid. Tried it, it burnt off very quickly. Back to Castrol with my tail between my legs.
