Cabin filter OEM FORD or OEM Volkswagen

OEM FORD Cabin filter

I think it was my 80s bronco, like changing a cabin air filter. Undo hoses in engine bay, open glove box, open a door and slide it out and slide the new 1 in, attach hoses, close it up. Did it in less than 10min.

Pros: easy to replace, quick installation

OEM FORD Cabin filter

Unexpectedly low maintenance costs (my cost just skyrocketed because I replaced my windshield wipers whereas to date in three years I'd only had to change the cabin air filter a few times).

Pros: low maintenance costs

OEM FORD Cabin filter

The cabin filter isn't difficult on any year fusion. It takes me 10-15 minutes. The engine air filter is 2-3 minutes. You can buy the filters for $60 or less.

Pros: easy, quick replacement
Cons: beware super cheap ones
Vehicle: Ford Fusion

OEM Volkswagen Cabin filter

They changed something on the Arteon vs other VW models -- the procedure is the same, but those tabs just don't bend. I got it done, but it should not be that difficult.

Cons: tabs don't bend

OEM FORD Cabin filter

I’ve changed the cabin air filter probably 4 times now, used a foam evap coil cleaner twice, ran Lysol thru the cowl multiple times, did a descent bomb in the car. At absolute best, this lasts for a couple weeks and then back to this gross mildew smell coming from vents.

Cons: gross mildew smell
Vehicle: Ford
