Textar Brake pads

At the shop I run, we use textar pads on Zimmerman rotors. For some reason textar on textar always make noise on BMWs ( we elevated our complaints all the way to Textar, and they sent a rep to finally shrug). Pagid pads are ok, but I find they wear out more quickly.

Pros: reliable, rarely complaints
Cons: noise, wear quickly

My go to brake pad is Textar. Why? Less problems. Since I own a shop, any warranty issue is wasted time. I will not charge a client to make it right. I do not have time to do the job a second time.

Pros: less problems
Cons: warranty issue is wasted time

The rear brake wear on the B9 SQ5 is a known thing. The programming for stability control is super aggressive on applying the rear brakes on turns to keep the rear of the car planted so the rear pads wear down fast if you are even just a moderately spirited driver. The rear pads on my SQ5 only lasted 17k before reaching 2mm

Pros: aggressive stability control
Cons: rear pads wear fast

Mileage: 17000 km

I replaced my front brakes recently with Textar pads and new Zimmerman rotors (non-PP brakes). Overall I am happy with them; I think they have a little more cold bite than the original pads do but are very similar to the stock pad compound. Original pads left deep grooves/ridges in the rotor around 55k miles. I don't track/autocross the car and I'm pretty easy on brakes. I also prefer and good cold bite which you don't always get with a ceramic pad.

Pros: good cold bite, similar to stock
Cons: original pads left grooves
Mileage: 55000 km

I have good experience with Textar pads, both epad and normal ones. Currently I have ATE rotors, but they had to be resurfaced because of warping, so no recommendation from me

Pros: good experience with Textar pads
Cons: ATE rotors warped

OEM Audi Brake pads

Since starting my drive from NY to NJ daily, ALL my previous cars, Audi Q5 and Toyota Sienna, will start "brake and shake" or was it "shake and brake".. at about a year in at around 10k-15k miles. I am guilty of heavy braking so with it comes excess wear.

Cons: excess wear
Vehicle: Audi Q5
Mileage: 15000 km

As someone who has a TTRS, the brakes blow. Heavy, overheat, poor feel, and expensive rotors/pads.

Cons: heavy, overheat, poor feel
