front brake pads (textar) for gti with performance pack, bolts, anti-squeal, grease; normally $70+
Ferodo ds2500 is a great option. I’ve heard yellows are noisy/dusty. I’ve inhaled plumes of it first hand on the track.
The rest (brake pads), I guess this is OEM but if you go to Sharjah and buy the parts yourself, I am confident you can get much lower prices, especially if you buy aftermarket such as Textar which is a OEM supplier.
Stock PP1 pads are Ferodo DS2500. Actually pretty good.
Our shop we use Zimmerman coated rotors and Textar pads. Napa Euro ADO R90 are also really good for commuter cars.
Textar is a renowned brand for brake pads. I like em. Although weirdly, I find their aftermarket pads to be better than the pads they supply to OEs like BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche.
Ferodo 3.12 pads ( 6 track days+? we will see)
Many people don't like ferodo pads, but I use ds2500 for dual duty, but they can be hard to find. Just got to be careful getting off the highway with them when they are cold.
I haven't done VW brakes in a while, but I usually use Textar pads on my BMW and Mini. They are OE supplier for most of the BMW brakes, but they do make a lot of dust.
I hated Ferodo DS2500 on the street. Because they need to be warm to perform. And if I am driving on a highway for couple minutes or through a city, they loose the heat and perform badly for a bit.
