I use Stoptech Sport pads + Centric blank rotors with NB brake conversion on my 91 NA. I mostly daily drive my car, but will occasionally take it on mountain runs or the occasional autocross. Haven't experienced any performance issues with them. They're very quiet and perform well under hard braking. Only problem is that these pads put out a *lot* of dust.

Pros: quiet, good performance
Cons: lots of dust

OEM Mazda Brake pads

I was quoted 1200 to change my brake pads on my ND. Did it myself of course but it was funny to find out what the dealership wanted.

Pros: did it myself
Cons: expensive dealership quote

Took the car in for a service , got a work car and it's been driving the Rx much less. I wouldn't have done it all at once, so did a service, replaced brake pads.

OEM Mazda Brake pads

I got my 2015 M3 2.5, 3 years ago with 30k Miles, now at 150k miles I have gone thru a lot of maintenance items. Additionally, my 15’ M3 GTS is “Made in Japan” not in Mexico, (some parts are actually different, Like my brake pads!) I attribute this to having a better built car.

I've been on Stoptech 309 pads for all 4 years of my car. Winter, Daily and Track. The pads will fade if you get serious enough. I just changed them to Endless MX72 pads I found a deal on rhdjapan.com. They are better in every way.

Pros: good for daily and track use
Cons: fade under serious use

My blew through the stock pads AND rotors in 25k.

Put on the StopTech pad rotor/pad kit and the Mountune steel lines.

While this setup had less bite than the stock setup, it was just as powerful and more controllable/progressive.

They also lasted WAY longer than stock, no squeal, and very little brake dust.

Pros: powerful, controllable, long lasting
Cons: less bite than stock
Mileage: 25000 km

I personally find the stock brakes to be too grabby for me to comfortably heel toe. I switched to the Stop tech street pads and loved them.

Pros: loved them, good modulation

I run the StopTech "Street" performance pads with EBC slotted rotors and can 100% vouch for each. Outstanding quality and performance. I really push my brakes on occassion and this combo outperformed my expectations which were fairly high to begin with. Bonuses- very low dust and zero noise.

Pros: outstanding quality, low dust, zero noise
Cons: high cost, less brake life

OEM Mazda Brake pads

Just had a dealer give me an estimate of $560 for new rear pads and rotors. Unfortunately, the idiot was going by mileage and he never actually looked to see that I just replaced the pads and rotors myself 10,000 miles ago. That was on my 2016 Mazda CX 5.

Pros: null
Cons: overpriced, unnecessary
