I use Stoptech Sport pads + Centric blank rotors with NB brake conversion on my 91 NA. I mostly daily drive my car, but will occasionally take it on mountain runs or the occasional autocross. Haven't experienced any performance issues with them. They're very quiet and perform well under hard braking. Only problem is that these pads put out a *lot* of dust.
I've had good luck with Raybestos EHT Element 3 pads and coated rotors on my frontier and my wife's elantra. They are pretty well respected on different forums and not to expensive.
I was using Raybestos ST43s and they had phenomenal friction.
Replaced my front and rear brakes about a year ago with Raybestos (ceramic) and have been happy with it. Stopping power has been great. Didn't realize how bad my brakes were until I put these new ones in.
I've been on Stoptech 309 pads for all 4 years of my car. Winter, Daily and Track. The pads will fade if you get serious enough. I just changed them to Endless MX72 pads I found a deal on rhdjapan.com. They are better in every way.
You got this. Just did the brakes on my wagon myself for the first time and it was breeze. Rock auto had a really good deal on raybestos brakes when I did mine. Worked amazing
My blew through the stock pads AND rotors in 25k.
Put on the StopTech pad rotor/pad kit and the Mountune steel lines.
While this setup had less bite than the stock setup, it was just as powerful and more controllable/progressive.
They also lasted WAY longer than stock, no squeal, and very little brake dust.
I personally find the stock brakes to be too grabby for me to comfortably heel toe. I switched to the Stop tech street pads and loved them.
Its funny, my close bud actually runs stop-techs, they seem to be doing him fairly well Might consider stoptech's as well for the future. Until then, I'm just going to run these EBC's down a bit more so that I don't feel like its money down the drain
Just replaced rear brakes on my ‘15 rogue with Raybestos E3 pads. I really had to force the pad into the new hardware clips. I did a quick google search and his seems to be an issue with E3 brake hardware. The original brake pads were also really tough to remove before I put the new ones in.
