Brake pads POWER STOP or OEM BMW

OEM BMW Brake pads

Genuine BMW pads and discs only. Driven 200k miles in my beamers. Even the e46 gets genuine BMW factory brakes. My 640i got new genuine discs and pads about a year or 2 ago. (£550 in parts, £80 labour).

Pros: long lasting, good feel
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 200000 km

I ordered Centric blanks and powerstop z23 pads off of Rockauto after doing a lot of research. Have had them on my 2016 GTI for 6 months or so. No regrets, they're great. AND super cheap.

Pros: great, super cheap, no regrets

Same issue here with 2020 (standard brakes). Was driving my wife absolutely bananas. Swapped out two weeks ago with Power Stop Z23 Ceramic/Carbon pads… zero noise, good performance after they were bedded in and virtually NO DUST.

Pros: zero noise, good performance, no dust
Vehicle: BMW X5

I put carbon ceramic brakes from power stop on my C63. They were an improvement over stock and best of all no dust.

Pros: improvement over stock, no dust
Part number: Z23-1871, Z23-1872

It’s very easy to replace the pads diy in Brembos. I used the powerstop z26 as well. But the fronts squealed something awful (started at like 10k) on low mph slow deceleration and the brake dust on the stock pads suck.

Pros: easy to install
Cons: squealing, bad brake dust
Mileage: 50000 km
