Brake pads POWER STOP or Carbotech
Carbotech is the way :) Seriously though, I have XP-12 front and XP-8 rear on my Elise and had XP-12 on my Focus ST and they are great. Tried the Hawks on one car, and hated them. Downside of the carbotech is the insane squealing on the street.
Second the recommendation for the Carbotech 1521 compound, good choice for the street.
I put these on and man what a difference compared to OEM. Braking has much more bite than I thought.
Got the z23 kit for my 2011 R/T AWD. Night and day difference, these brakes bite hard when applied. Very much worth the purchase.
I've had very good results using Carbotech pads. Their street pad compount 1521 is comparable to OEM but without the brake dust and their various XP track pads have been very consistent and predictable.
I have run power stop rotors and pads on my 2011 raptor for a few years they are much better than stock with little to no fade.
I went with Powerstop pads and centric rotors from Rock Auto and have been happy with the increase in bite and stopping power. I believe I purchased the hybrid ceramic/metallic pads.
Currently I have the Power Stop Z23 rotor/brake pad kit, which has worked really well. Originally I had bought some no-name pads/rotors off of Amazon that wore down within 9 months somehow, so I decided to spend more on the Power Stop kit for peace of mind.
I have the 1521’s, and will add another data point - less initial bite, great modulation. No dust, No noise. Overall I’m happy with them, but will continue to experiment - next round of braking components - floating/2 piece rotors and new calipers.
I have used the Carbotech 1521 pads for a while and have been very satisfied. They are also made in the USA.
