Brake pads POWER STOP or Bosch

POWER STOP Brake pads

I went with the powerstop z26, i think, carbon ceramic pads and drilled and slotted rotors all around for about 550 dollars from autozone. Fit and finish were perfect and did all four corners in my driveway in a couple of hours. The brake in procedure is very simple and they work very well. Zero brake vibrations and feels so much better.

Pros: perfect fit, works very well

I got the Bosche pads. I think they were in a higher category than daily but the front+back together ended up being cheaper then other brands I was looking at. Just make sure you get ones clearly labeled front or back, and Japan built.

Pros: cheaper than other brands

POWER STOP Brake pads

i have had powerstop on my car for the last year and a bit, no complaints, brakes are still good for dailying but with more bite when you jam down on the pedal

Pros: good brakes, strong bite

POWER STOP Brake pads

I took it out on a twisty road for about 40 miles, and did some hard stops. Seems to have resolved the issue. I read somewhere that these brakes need time for bed settling. I will say, they do stop impressively well. The factory stuff was underwhelming.

Pros: stop impressively well
Cons: squealing, brake dust
Mileage: 40 km

POWER STOP Brake pads

I think it's a thing with German cars. The rotors warp too easily. The thing that bugs me the most about German cars are the brake pads. They so freaking dusty!

Cons: brake pads very dusty

Bosch Brake pads

I just replaced the pads (Bosch BE1633H) and rotors (Textar 5Q0615301G) on my MK7 R, and after torqueing everything I noticed a clunk when rolling up and down my driveway (happened only when going from forward to reverse or vice versa). I jacked the car up, took the wheels off, and checked all the bolts, everything was tight and torqued to spec. I then noticed that the brake pad itself is shifting.

Cons: clunking noise, shifting brake pads
Part number: BOSCH BE1633H
