With a 20% off coupon, it was only $40 more than the other shop, and I got OEM parts. That was almost 3 years ago, and the brakes are still stopping smooth.

Pros: smooth braking, long lasting
Vehicle: Nissan

I recently got the dynamic friction rotors and pad kit to replace the oem rears and I like them so far. It’s only been about 500 miles, but in my opinion are a little better at stopping compared to the oem. Plus the price was really good.

Pros: better stopping, good price
Mileage: 500 km

I went with Dynamic Friction instead after hearing lots of negative feedback, so far very happy 6 mo later. I drive fast and they stop very well. Does produce quite a bit of brake dust though.

Pros: stops very well
Cons: brake dust

Pros: better bite, no brake judder
Cons: dusts more than OEM
Mileage: 5000 km

I've been using Dynamic Friction 1000141300 track pads from Rockauto. They've seen 6 or 7 track days now and have work really well without overheating. They also do fine on the street.

Pros: work really well, no overheating
Part number: 1000141300

Duralast Brake pads

I have the Dynamic Friction 5000 low metallic pads and they've been a nice improvement. Have no brake judder, better bite, and a bit more dusting from the pads (great tradeoff IMO).

Pros: nice improvement, better bite
Cons: more dusting

Nissan brakes are on this squeak train as well. We barely have a remedy for it, other than ‘regreasing’ them. I tell my customers that the pads are designed with materials for better braking and less dust, at the cost of noisy brakes when cold.

Pros: better braking, less dust
Cons: noisy brakes when cold

Duralast Brake pads

Oriellys generally carries good discount auto parts like wix, wearever brake pads. Buy duralast break pads and watch a hour and half job turn into a all day cussathon. One time before I knew better I forced a set on thinking "well that's how they came must be oem fit" they jammed and warped the rotor in 2 months. Replaced them again dads watching me struggle and cussing the world going for a hammer. Dad " WTH do you need a hammer for? Let me see them. He inspected them and came to the conclusion they were sloppily made. The slide ears were chunky globs of material that were slightly oversized and rounded instead of being straight contact surfaces. Only after carefully taking a dremel to them did they fit correctly.

Pros: good discount auto parts
Cons: jammed, warped rotor
