with only time and not use, it should be okay. think of it like putting new brake pads but with rotors that are still within service spec.
Centric OE coated "black hat" rotors and Centric posi-quiet pads are pretty damn tough to beat
I’ve always done centric. Good quality, good performance and good price
I replaced all 4 sets of pads on mine with Centric ceramic pads from rockauto. They are quiet and set brake dust. They have excellent grip on the new rotors.
I like Centric’s Posi Quiet brake pads. A little more bite than original pads with substantially less brake dust.
Centric pads and rotors are pretty good. As said above Akenono is OE for pads, maybe rotors too. I run Akebono pads and Brembo standard rotors on my cars. Nice and clean and never any noise and I swear the standard brembo rotors stop harder the centrics drilled/slotted rotors.
A few years ago I went with Centric Posi-Quiet Ceramic front pads - CENTRIC 10505690, currently $25.79 on RockAuto, and some Pagid front rotors from there. I know Pagid is a VW OEM and I have no reservations about their brake parts. I’ve run the posi-quiet pads on MK7 Golf and GTI and they’ve been fine.
I've had Centric pads and rotors on the back (90944519) for 5 years and 40,000 miles. They're ok, but they're much noisier than OEM and tend to grab/groan at very low speed.
Nissan brakes are on this squeak train as well. We barely have a remedy for it, other than ‘regreasing’ them. I tell my customers that the pads are designed with materials for better braking and less dust, at the cost of noisy brakes when cold.
break pads don't last very long
