Brake pads OEM Honda or OEM Mercedes

2019 Honda Civic LX 2.0 bought brand new and has 107,000 miles on it with original brakes. Rotors and pads. Not squeaking yet. Excellent!

These new ceremic pads can last pretty long. My Honda has almost 70k miles and still plenty pads left.

Two rotors=$100. Set of pads about $50. Couple wrenches, jack and jack stands.

Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG. Nothing particularly bad but having a German for it's age, essentially a supercar, and close to 200,000km when I sold it, quite a few bits and pieces needed replacing. Mechanically the best car I ever owned though. Just hoses, sensors, bushes, brake disc's and pads that kind of thing.

All 10th gen civics do this.. 10th gen accord, and we've noticed it on some 11th gen civics, too... There was an updated pad that's supposed to help with it..

2019 civic. Replaced front pads and rotors at 90k miles but only because road salt fucked up rotors which caused the pads to wear unevenly.

I had rears replaced at 40k. At 60k now. I’ve always had a rumbling sound and vibration when breaking from 60-55 mph (around 57) since 40k.

my 08 Accord went through rear pads every 18-20K miles. They were way too soft.

Might I share an experience with my Mercedes Warranty Service: It was my last "scheduled" maintenace on my Benz before my warranty expired in a month... This is what my service rep told me behind closed doors...."We better schedule in as many repairs as possible" 4 new break pads and 2 new rotars for the front (even though they still had a few more thousand mile on them), replacement wood trims for 2 of the door panels, new wiper blades and arm, a whole new radio system b/c the tape player broke (even though I've put probably only 2 tapes into the bay for the 4 years I owned the car); a brand new driver seat b/c one of the heating element on the car seat would not power on (I live in Florida, rarely ever used it).....
