I used hawk pads a few years ago on my F150 and even though they were advertised as dust free, they put off some of the worst dust ever even after following the break in instructions. Nowadays, I am a huge Element3 fan boy. All the family vehicles have em and I have no complaints.

Ive been really happy with the Hawk HPS 5.0 on 3 of my vehicles. Low noise low dust (and the dust it does make comes off with just car wash soap) and a noticeable increases in pedal feel.
I can vouch for the polo. It\u2019s been 5 years and some modifications. Other than brake pads and tyres it runs as good as it did the day I got it(actually better, because of the mods.)

Hawk HP+ if you want to spend a little bit more and get an impressive bite force even when cold. Also suitable for street and light track duty.
My focus rs has been doing this. I’m on OEM rotors with hawk dtc 60 on front dtc30 on rear. It performs fine on the streets and around town. When I take it to the track it starts to judder, noticeable 5 mins in but at the end of 20 min session it gets a lot worse.
Motul RBF600 is a popular fluid choice.
pad choices are far and wide. i run hawk HP+ which isnt really the best track pad but its gotten me by. the paint on the back of the pads melted off before i ever felt fade so i guess they worked well but i suspect im *at* the limit of their performance.
I had to replace my brakes early as well, and I was also past the extended warranty campaign.
The time I drove the Nurburgring I was using Hawk 5.0 pads and I lost my brakes to brake fade 2/3 down the track.
