Been using EBC Yellow Stuff for about a month now and love em. At the same time I got Continental summer tires put on as well. It's crazy how much more braking power this set up gas, however you may have to get used to the firmness, took me a couple weeks to soft stop again without a minor jerk when finally stopped, and I notice tire nose more now as well.
I would also recommend the Yellowstuff pads. They are a bit more expensive than the reds, but worth it. I've cooked my red stuffs a few times and the yellows seemed to be much more temperature resilient, I'll be switching back when these die. I also didn't experience any less cold bite from the yellows compared to the reds, which is important on a street pad.
I've always run EBC YellowStuff, and paired them with DBA 4000 T3 rotors, on all my cars, even before I did the STi Brembo swap on my WRX.
I run Stoptech 305s and they exceed my expectations
For regular use as a daily driver with regular spirited driving I really like EBC yellow pads. Honestly, those pads combined with StopTech rotors has been a great upgrade for my daily-driven car.
EBC pads, OE quality Zimmerman rotors and a brake flush with the proper fluid is all you need.
been looking at yellow stuff, as what I hear to be a great pad, and is more affordable than I imagined it would be.
I’ve dailied Redstuffs for 4 years now with no problem. They bite well, they don’t squeal, and they don’t make much dust.
I recently installed EBC redstuff with new rotors. Did the bed in procedure and worked great for first 300 miles or so. Today, I noticed a really loud squeaking noise coming from one of my wheels. Noise starts after brakes are warmed up, and increases when turning the wheel. Goes away when I apply the brakes. Think my pads might be glazed after some sprites driving, but not like I’ve done anything crazy.
Stop tech pads have a lot of brake dust. I had them and hated them. I went with the power stop pads low dust on all four and powerstop drill and slotted rotors up front. I already had stop tech slotted in the rear.
