Just here to say I have them also, and they did quiet down. Remember these are a step up in the performance pad world so there are going to be trade-offs. They actually wish I had gone with a more aggressive pad but considering it's 99% street driving they are pretty great

Pros: quiet, good performance

Have you done some seriously hard braking to properly seat them? Go from like 60mph and hard brake down to 20 or a stop. Not so hard to activate the abs or lock em up, but hard hard. Do this a few times to help bed them in better. I have ebc reds and it seems like the dust does chill a little over time. They still have a heavy bite that not everyone appreciates when coming to the end of a stop. I kinda like it tho. Let’s me know they mean business. Would buy again.

Pros: heavy bite, good stopping power
Cons: brake dust

I got their slotted rotors and red stuff pads. Installed them myself but had a strange kind of raspy grinding sound when braking. Figured it was just them breaking in. After a few days of this I decided to take the wheels back off and take a look. Turns out I had installed all 4 caliper clips backwards. Switching them around fixed the issue. Braking was pretty aggressive for the first week or two then smoothed out which they mention on the product page. Now it's quiet and smooth although more aggressive bite in then the oem pads, especially when cold.

Pros: quiet, smooth braking
Cons: grinding sound initially

EBC Brake pads

EBC pads and rotors are good for normal or amateur competition use. As any other, just needs good bed in procedure. Their rotors are not drilled, which is great for normal street cars.

Pros: good for competition use
Cons: needs bed in procedure

OEM Mazda Brake pads

Changed the pads front and rear was super easy and straight forward. Then after taking the car out of 'electric brake service mode' and starting the car I get the a yellow check engine light and code C05AB, clearing it made no difference. Only thing I could find online was "The electronically controlled brake unit detects that the pressure feed valve (primary side) is stuck ON (OPEN)."

Pros: easy installation, straightforward
Cons: check engine light, code C05AB
Vehicle: Mazda 3

I ordered Red stuff pads off of Amazon, with the car in my garage being a 2023 WRX, and the pads I got did not fit at all. In fact, the box said they were for a 2015/later Legacy.

Cons: incorrect fitment
Vehicle: Subaru

OEM Mazda Brake pads

Similar thing happened to me today, vehicle is 2023 cx-50, 25k mile, not even 2 year, in upstate ny with weekly car wash, gentle on gas and brake. They said front pads are 30%, rear pads are 50%, quoted me $600 to get new front pad & rotor, and rear brake service(cleaning, lubrication). Just 2 month ago from another mechanic's report (same delear), all pads are above 50%. I don't think it's that bad that both pad and rotor need to be replaced, so I denied the work,

Cons: expensive repair, unnecessary
Vehicle: Mazda
Mileage: 25000 km
