The stock pads that came on my RS3 were god awful for brake dust. After 2 days of normal highway driving they looked like crap. They also hit the wear sensor after only 15k miles which is bananas for a mostly highway driven car. I bought a set with a new pair of 2 piece rotors and the difference is night and day. Braking is much stronger and zero fade even in more demanding conditions (the two piece rotors obviously help with that) I’ve had them on for 25k miles and they have very little wear on them. I’d definitely buy them again. That said, be warned that for like 500-1000 miles after they are installed, your wheels will be the dustiest you’ve ever seen. Once that wears off, they run very clean.

Pros: strong braking, low dust
Cons: dusty initially, short lifespan
Vehicle: Audi RS3
Mileage: 25000 km

I ran a set of EBC Greenstuff 2000 Series pads over EBC slotted and drilled rotor on my Ford Focus. Quality difference over OEM is huge. I'd never run OEM again.

Pros: huge quality difference

EBC Brake pads

On my Mini SE, I have EBC red on the front, yellow on the rear to add more rear brake bias. Works great for DD and AX. On my R53 with correct brake bias, reds all round. I really like the reds for both DD and fun driving.

Pros: works great, good for DD

EBC Brake pads

Last year I switched to the EBC Redstuffs. Overall braking power hasn't necessarily improved that much (according to the butt dyno), but appears to handle heat better as my brake pedal stays consistent through the entire day and doesn't begin to feel softer during the end of the day during my last couple runs.

Pros: consistent pedal feel, heat resistant
Cons: no significant power increase

I recently installed EBC redstuff with new rotors. Did the bed in procedure and worked great for first 300 miles or so. Today, I noticed a really loud squeaking noise coming from one of my wheels. Noise starts after brakes are warmed up, and increases when turning the wheel. Goes away when I apply the brakes. Think my pads might be glazed after some sprites driving, but not like I’ve done anything crazy.

Pros: worked great initially
Cons: loud squeaking noise
Mileage: 300 km

EBC Brake pads

Even at Gingerman, which is much, much easier on brakes than Road America, the "upgrade" was a disaster. Ok, I admit to not bedding the new pads enough before the track day. That probably contributed to their absolute crap performance.

Cons: crap performance, rotor shimmy
Vehicle: Volkswagen
