Brake pads Carbotech or Hawk Performance

They're quite a good combo. I glazed them doing too much drifting in the snow, but fixed with a bench grinder and they're as good as day 1.

I just replaced my pads all around with Carbotech so i get majorly reduced brake dust and just OEM rotors.

If you KNOW you're going to be doing a lot of track days, you definitely want to go straight to some full blown track pads, at least for when you're at the track, along with fluid.

Hawk Blues are the best I’ve driven on a street driven 930 being used on the track. Thousands of laps with different compounds. Or HPS+ if you’re not that aggressive.

With the XP8s I had, I left early and bed my pads in on the way to the track.

Running Carbotech XP8 and XP10 here. They’re great on track, and also very usable on the street. I’m currently not switching back to my EBC Yellowstuff pads because the Carbotechs aren’t bad enough on the street to justify me switching pads (yes I’m a being a little lazy). They dust like mad though and are quite squeaky.

I use Hawk Blues on-track and street pads off. Pads are so easy to change on our cars that it is only a 30 minute job to swap before each track day once you have some practice. The Blues are very abrasive and will clean any bedding material off the rotor if you just lightly ride the brakes for a few minutes while the pads are cold. The Blues have plenty of stopping power when cold on the street, but squeal a lot and eat through rotors very quickly. On-track they have been fade-free for me with excellent modulation using ATE TYP200 brake fluid.

I really liked the Hawk HPS 5.0s on my WRX. Good enough for the track and plenty comfortable for the street

I’ve got StopTech st-40’s and run Hawk HP+ pads. They have good bite and hold up pretty well, they’re just SUPER loud until they’re hot and are also fairly dusty

Not only do they do that, they're a terrible autocross pad. Dust is something that happens with pads that stop there are very few that stop and don't make dust. However there are different types of dust, stuff that sticks to everything and stuff that wipes off easily. But the problem with those pads in general isn't even the dust it's there very on off switch nature. They're very powerful and they're very grabby and they do not release well either which makes abs fight a lot more to do its job.
