Brake pads Carbotech or Ferodo

Ferodo Brake pads

If you have 312 mm front rotors I'd suggest to upgrade to FER-FCP4433G

DS3.12 pads https://www.brakes-shop.com/fer-fcp4433g-ferodo-ds3-12-brake-pads-front.html and Motul 600 / 660 brake fluid (or Castrol React SRF).

With this setup you will be limited by your tyres and suspension.

Don't buy DBA rotors and pads or EBC pads. You will destroy them (like crack in pieces).

Don't run with OEM fluid or pads \u2014 you will definitely lose stopping power relatively early on.

Cons: limited by tyres, suspension
Part number: FER-FCP4433G

Ferodo Brake pads

Back in May I swapped OEM pads for Ferodo DS2500 for my first track day in my GR86. Otherwise the car is bone stock. I noticed some slight pulsing of the steering wheel but only during hard braking (100 to 30mph). No brake fade that I noticed.

Pros: no brake fade
Cons: slight pulsing of steering wheel
Vehicle: Toyota
Mileage: 3000 km

I run carbotech 12/10 on my C5. Streetable but messy. I only really drive to track, on track, then home. Probably drive 100 street/leisure miles a year, but after 2 track days on this setup (wilwood aero6 in front) I’m very happy with the setup.

Pros: streetable, very happy
Cons: messy
Vehicle: Chevrolet

The 3.12s have a LOT of bite and can make modulation tough on certain cars. On my E46 M3, I run DS UNO or DS1.11s. That's with the AP race kit front & rear. Didn't like the 3.12s for that application.

Pros: a lot of bite
Cons: modulation tough
Vehicle: BMW

im running XP10s... so far this set up is amazing, the braking is strong initial bite with little fade. Just take in consideration that this Carbotech pads are modular which means you will have a slight longer pedal travel than normal. And yes they are super noisy, when i drive it on the street i try to be careful with my braking and not feather the brakes, that will make then literally screech and grind the rotors, instead i try to brake a bit harder than usual to get a good bite and then let go of the brake once i stoped (put the car in neutral most of the time or creep forward little by little to releave some heat).

Pros: amazing set up, strong initial bite, little fade
Cons: slight longer pedal travel, super noisy on street, screech and grind rotors
Vehicle: Audi S3

Ferodo Brake pads

I purchased Ferodo DS2500 pads for autocross with the Brembos when my stock pads were shot. Lubed them up using CRC brake grease and even bought separate Girodisco backing plates to help with noise. It was absolutely terrible. Loud squealing all the time from 15mph to zero. Down hills, in traffic, or coming to a stop.

Cons: loud squealing, terrible noise
Part number: DS2500
