Brake pads Brembo or OEM Toyota

Brembo Brake pads

If your car is spec'd for Brembo brake pads, they probably weren't fully needed in yet, which is 100% normal.

Pros: normal bedding process
Cons: not fully bedded

Brembo Brake pads

Brembo off Ebay. Their brakes last 75k and they're so popular they are scalped from the manufacturers website in minutes lol!

OEM Toyota Brake pads

For example: my 2007 3MZFE Toyota with 227kmi -- considered one of the most reliable drivetrains ever built -- has required brakes, a wheel bearing, an intake rubber coupler, an alternator, and power steering lines replacement this year alone.

Vehicle: Toyota
Mileage: 227000 km

OEM Toyota Brake pads

I’ve had my Toyota 4Runner for 13 years now. Never needed to change my brakes or encountered catastrophic engine failures. Maybe lucky but per Toyota, the 4Runner is rated for 22 MPG on the highway and I’m getting 23.5 MPG.

Pros: good gas mileage

Brembo Brake pads

Brembos are street pads, they are designed to be low noise and low dust. They’re not for any sort of aggressive driving.

Pros: low noise, low dust
Cons: not for aggressive driving
