On the GD’s I’m partial to the classic red but other than that my preference is my black GR brakes. Understated and don’t clash with anything.
Most you can do is Brembo X-tra pads or equivalent.
Came across a set of bmw brembo brakes at an auto wrecker. Bought for $50, sold for $950.
Just did my C300 rear rotors and pads. And front pads. All Bremro. In my case (cdn) the best price was Amazon. Pretty straight forward.
I just did the brakes on my Audi. Front was easy, back needed a compression tool to push the piston back and an OBDII module/app to retract the electric brakes. It’s easier than my old Nissan or the Volvo XC90 I had before the Audi.

Upgraded brake pads can be louder and dirtier.
My S4 needed brakes at around 30k. I had a couple dealerships price it out and it was about that.

This time the shims on the back of my new Brembo brake pads are rotating? Weird! Can’t figure out the mechanics of that happening. Doesn’t make any sense. Only a month old.
