I've got AutoZone's gold ceramic pads on mine right now. They are made by Bosch, I know because they drop-shipped from the Bosch factory. Grippier than OEM, quiet for daily driving and decent for spirited driving.

Pros: Grippier than OEM, quiet

Fourth I would make sure you are using high quality pads and rotors. Use name brands like raybestos, centric, Bosch, etc. Lower quality brands will have more issues.

Pros: high quality pads and rotors
Cons: lower quality more issues

Depending on the tier of pads Autozone does source from Bosch. The big benefit to Autozone is that you only pay once as they do a lifetime warranty and it covers wear. I have their most expensive pads on my car and have replaced them twice a year for 5 years now.

Pros: lifetime warranty

I went for Bosch models. Fronts have faired much better than oem. Rears I had some other issues (didn’t use service mode) that destroyed them prematurely

Pros: fronts better than OEM
Cons: rears destroyed prematurely
Vehicle: Mazda

OEM Hyundai Brake pads

Had to take out a loan fr 3k for brake pads and labour to put them on. From a huge well known dealership. Local mechanic did the same thing for around 300 dollars a year later when they failed.

Pros: cheaper local mechanic
Cons: expensive dealership service
Vehicle: Hyundai
