They’re track/race pads, but I rarely track my car. It’s not a daily, just a fun weekend car, but I find the pad performance to be amazing and they’re not noisy like everyone says they would be.
Given that and the new ceramic brake pads by Akebono and the car is now very quiet.
I like Akebono ceramics.

I just did my brakes and rotors and bought at rock auto . Deff do akebono pads they are the best. I did like high performance pads. Much better bite when you hit brakes. And as for rotors I just did like a OEM type rotor . I forget which ones. Not the cheapest ones tho. I did like 2 steps up from economy probably premium. Altogether I think I payed like 275for the whole set up and I'm very happy with them . No rust . And I drive a lot so if they were bad I'd know haha I already put a few thousand miles on them

Pads I always liked Akebono for low dust
Akebono is by far my favorite with minimal dust and excellent lifespan. I have used Bosch and Mazda OEM over the life of my car.
However, the biggest difference I've noticed was going from good brake pads to great ones. I recommend anything by Project Mu (I use their RC09 "Club Racer")
From what I remember, On my c63, just the pads were $460, but the install was only $150. I brought them Akebono pads, and they said … oh these are the wrong ones. Funny my mechanic put them on just fine.
