Brake pads Akebono or OEM Volvo

The fronts already feel so much better than oem brakes.

Akebono are top notch. Bosch rotors are great. Especially the coated ones for areas that use salt on the roads in the winter.

I like Wagner both rotor and pads but the hands down best pads are Acabono

akebono pads are oem. drive nice and quiet and strong. centrics rotors are decent.

I bought stock front rotors from a local dealer. Shopped around to find a dealer with the lowest price (low $90/ea range as I recall). I purchased Akebono Performance ceramic pads on Amazon: They are showing as “currently unavailable.” Maybe you can find them somewhere else. Brake pulsing is now gone, car stops very well, and I have less brake dust than with stock pads.

Right now I’m looking at getting the Akebono Proact pads. Fairly confident the pads are good cuz that’s the OEM brand to my understanding

Akebono Ceramic pads and EBC rotors (slotted if you're feelin frisky). EBC pads are fine too, but a lot of people experience noise. Akebono pads are just super solid and problem free.

Canada here: paid around $700 CAD for rear brake pads and rotors at Canadian Tire back in May for my 2008 V70.

I have a 2019 XC40 and kept having brake issues - they ended up replacing the pads and rotors… at less than 15k miles. I continue to have issues (now it’s nothing serious, just a very loud obnoxious squeal)
