Brake pads Akebono or OEM Toyota

Sitting at 110,000 and dealership is suggesting the rear brakes be changed. Time for some akebonos!

I got powerstop rotors drilled and slotted from Amazon front and rear for about $300 and some akebono brake pads with the sensors. Probably all in under $500. Did the work myself, pretty easy honestly.

I prefer Akebono ceramic. I think their top tier line is called ProAct. Very nice pads. Quiet, low dust, and perform well.

Genuine Toyota Brake Pads hindi naman araw araw pinapalitan yan and safety ang nakataya dyan. I’m not saying hindi maganda yung mga replacement brands pero by using Genuine Toyota Brake Pads 100% sure ka na ok ang quality yun kasi ang binabayaran sa Genuine parts yung peace of mind na pumasa yung parts nayan sa standards ng Toyota.

Sa mga brake pads specifically may mga replacement brake pads na naninira ng brake rotors.

I have a 2007 Prius. Bought it with 120,000 miles. Got 365,000 on it. Never put brakes on.

Good pad choice, I only use akebono pads personally. Looks like you have a toyota truck/suv. Same here, great pads.

For pads Akebono is best

I installed Akebono recently for my rears and so far wheels are staying pretty clean

Toyota Hilux 2018 185km- only thing i changed so far are tires, brakes, realignment(kapag lagi kang umaakyat sa pangit na daan) and drive train recently kakalaro daw ng shift stick.

It had about 35k miles on it and the service rep said it failed due to the front brakes being worn down to the rotors.
