My 21’ m340i xdrive was oil changes annually and a new set of tires. Need a new set soon. About $1,000 for pilot sports. Did brakes last week. $600 for the rears. At 70,000 miles.
I’d never buy a used car with more than 30-40k miles. If it’s around 30k-40k miles, I’d say you should be mostly problem free but you’ll have some maintenance things to take care of: Brakes and fluid
I’m on my second lightly used BMW. first one had 25k miles and was totaled at 60k, current one was bought around the same time and is now at 40k. Both have been great. A little pricey on maintenance because it’s around the time when things like brakes need to be replaced but completely worth it in my opinion.
I’ve run the Akebonos on my M235i for years with no issues. They seem to dust less than the factory ones, which is a bonus to me.
I use Akebono pads and coated Raybestos rotors. I changed my brakes around the time I got my 07 which was a year ago. I highly doubt you drive like you're street racing or drifting. My brakes still have a hell of a lot of life left in them.
I got mine in November 2024 brand new. M Sport Pro in Carbon Black.
For starters, it is a pretty reliable car. I have done 13,000 kms in one year, plenty of road trips along with some being on steep mountains.
So far, it has given me 0 major issues.
I’ve got a 2019 with 110k km, have only had to change the brake pads outside of normal maintenance and that’s cause I drive it hard. Most reliable vehicle I’ve owned
Akebono makes very good pads.
maybe not the place but anyone have an idea as to why my newly replaced pads and rotors squeak? I got akebono ceramics paired with durago coated rotors and they stop like crazy, barely dust but they SQUEALLLLL when braking lightly and only lightly.
Do not go for the CCBs they aren\u2019t any better on the road. Squeak like crazy when wet, and a pair of akebonos and you\u2019ll get minimal dust
