I'm very happy with the Akebono pads that I put on all four corners of my FA5 a few months ago. No noise, low dust, and good bite for daily driving.
Ceramic pads are quiet and create minimal dust. I have the Brembo package and definitely lose some initial bite after installing Akebono Cermics, but I have grown accustomed to it. Love not having to clean dust off of my wheel all the time.
Adam's front and rear ventilated rotors. Mintex front and rear brake pads. Motul DOT 5.1 Synthetic brake fluid. Goodridge G - Stop stainless steel braided brake lines.
Yes Akebono Ultra Premium for pads and Brembo rotors are great.
I've used akebono aftermarket pads twice in the past. They work fine.
I did a full weekend around 90 min per day of track time on a set of Akebono Euro pads. I had expected to wear them out, but wear was minimal even with every lap having a 120-40mph full ABS brake. A bit of odor, but no fade on my E46 BMW 330i.
Ran these for four years on the redsport better then the stock Akebono. Only changed the pads once
Akebono ceramic - been great for daily
Akebono ASP1347 rear, ASP1346 front. Ceramic pads for the sport package brake system. They uhh, like to sing when wet though.
About a year ago I bought some Akebono ceramic brake pads for my 2016 and they have given me nothing but grief, notably the fronts whose retainer clips just straight up didn't fit into my caliper so I needed to reuse the stock ones and I also had to grind down the pad ears to fit properly. The fronts were particularly bad (part no. ACT1539).
