Brake discs Zimmermann or R1 Concepts

I use Zimmerman front and rear with no problems

Absolutely normal. But I would still get one which is coated. My R1 Concepts from Rock Auto were completely black with a Zinc coating

Zimmerman makes solid rotors and Akebono pads are awesome, plus they last forever. I think the only thing you could improve on is a bit of extra stopping power if you went back to the oem pad material, which is likely not ceramic like the Akebonos. However, you'll lose those clean wheels and the pads will likely wear out much faster. I never felt that they lacked adequate stopping power anyway. Brake feel is much more linear compared to the super grabby stock pads, and I actually prefer it now that I'm used to it.

I’ve got the R1 concept drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads, felt a decent difference from the OEM but my rotors and pads were at about 35% life so it makes sense that I’d feel a good difference. I do some spirited driving around town and the brakes perform pretty great.

Zimmerman rotors and quality pads like Pagid. I personally like Zimmerman and Pagid combo, used those on my MK4 GTi

I run them on my Tiguan and they’re working out well for the past 3 years although they’re also not a left and right set.

Bought my 2018 Stinger GT new - within a few months my steering would shake like it had warped rotors - and it wasnt always the case - it would be ok at times, then come back. I use Auto Hold a lot - and it seems that feature causes the shaking in the steering wheel the more I used it. I did talk with Kia about it and they dismissed it and said it was fine - after being sick and tired of the shaking I went and bought new rotors and pads from R1 Concepts and havent looked back - no issues at all since I installed them and I use Auto Hold every single day.

I went with Zimmerman front and rear about 1.5 years ago. No problems.

Zimmermann rotors are made in Germany, while Brembo rotors are made in Italy....... how would they pull that off?
