I went with the FCP euro replacement kit, the zimmerman rotors have been fine (another 35k on them), the texar pads work fine, but dust more than OEM
I run these on my Touring. 2 years in and holding up excellently. Proper break in is key I feel.
Stock OEM rotors (Zimmerman) are also fine. I track my car and run stock rotors. They work great.
I use Zimmerman rotors and Hawk HPS pads on my Audis. Very happy with the combination.
When I got my car, it would roll on hills with the parking brake pulled all the way up. After the adjustment procedure and replacing the rotors, it works properly.
I went with Zimmerman rotors and the TRW nano-compound pads as I've read they bite like metallic with maybe 2/3 as much dust.
I recently did this with FCP Euro. I had to buy the sets separately. I believe they were the zinc coated, drilled Zimmerman ones. Happy with the purchase.
I just bought Zimmerman for my 17 alltrack. Have bought them before. Seem to be the best value of quality to price and easily available.
I switched over to Zimmerman x-drilled, SS lines, Mintex Red Boxes and bled the system with DOT 4 fluid. The same corse I never noticed any fade but I also did not notice any BETTER braking performance either.
I have those Zimmermann rotors for my car, and they DO judder. Granted the pads are not OEM...a low dust StopTech option. I've just accepted this...it's a winter car now.
