I just changed the front pads/rotors on my '04 325i to Zimmerman with the OEM Textar pads. Seem to work same as before, no complaints from me. They are dusty like people say, but I don't care too much about that.

Pros: works as expected, no complaints
Cons: dusty
Vehicle: BMW

DBA Brake discs

I'm putting [DBA T3 4000](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005SJ7ERU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) rotors on my WRX (with Ferodo DS2500 pads) next week. Those rotors are rated for racing temps and aren't crazy expensive.

Pros: rated for racing temps
Cons: aren't crazy expensive
Vehicle: Subaru
Part number: T3 4000

I just bought new brake discs for all four corners. They are made by Zimmermann, a pretty reputable aftermarket supplier. Cost was about half of the OEM.

Pros: reputable aftermarket supplier, cost effective

While I understand the need to be frugel, you're talking about the most important safety equipment on your car. IMO this is where you don't cheap out. I just bought a set of Zimmerman replacement rotors (fronts) and a set of PBR Deluxe pads for under $200. Like the old Fram advert said... 'you can pay me now, or pay me later'.

Pros: important safety equipment
Cons: don't cheap out

i have this setup actually.. on my 2.0. zimmerman crossdrilled and ebc greenstuff. the concensus is that for most city and highway driving, solid rotors are best, more braking surface = better stopping. however, my setup really BITES for 10.1" rotors... i just m ainly got the crossdrilleds for looks

Pros: good deal, high quality
