Brake discs Zimmermann or Bosch

Bosch Quietstop rotors and Akebono pads. Both are reasonably priced and work well.

Zimmermann's Coat Z rotors are excellent. I've used them on many BMWs with no issues.

I personally have the Zimmerman Rotors, and Akebono pads. Great, cheap setup.

I use Zimmermans too & EBC red stuff pads much less dust then standard & nicer bite

I replaced front rotors and pads on two vehicles using Bosch QuietCast Premium parts I bought on Amazon. I have been very happy with the results.

I use Zimmerman rotors and OEM pads from fcpeuro. I like the bite the oem pads have compared to ceramic. More brake dust yes, but I want a car to stop as fast as possible.

Be aware, the dimples and slots make for more noise so don’t expect them to be identical to the blank rotors in that regard.

I’m getting issues with rotors warping on my 2002 E53. I bought Zimmermann smooth rotors couple of years ago and they’ve been lathed couple of times now. At one point I had to replace Zimmermann pads too as they were excreting glue or something that caused “falling stars” on the rotor faces.
