Brake discs POWER STOP or Raybestos

POWER STOP Brake discs

I've been happy with PowerStop on RockAuto but make sure you get coated rotors cause they rust and look like dog shit if you don't.

Pros: happy with performance
Cons: rotors rust easily
Vehicle: Lexus

Raybestos Brake discs

I replaced both front rotors and all side pins and dust boots with Raybestos stuff a few weeks ago. Easy job, cost $150ish instead of $800 or whatever dealer charged nonsense

It's a commuter and it stops fine

Pros: easy job, stops fine

I put the Power Stop branded drilled/slotted rotors and Akebono ProAct pads on my 8th gen front and back. Brake performance definitely improved although the ceramics are definitely noisier than oem. Overall for the price id recommend it.

Pros: improved braking
Cons: noisy pads

Raybestos Brake discs

The previous owner had a brand new set of front and rear pads and rotors that came with the car when I bought it. Raybestos brand, assuming he bought them off Rockauto. Anyways, front went together no problem but the rear calipers needed pressed in to fit new the pads.

Pros: front went together no problem
Cons: rear calipers needed pressed

I also bought Power Stop Z23 Evolution Geomet Coated Rotors after I bought and installed Z23 pads. Desided I need to change the rotors after I installed the pads, oops. What bothered me about Power stop rotors is that the front rotors where NOT Notched (balanaced).

Cons: rotors not notched
