I went with Powerstop drilled/slotted rotors with brake pads. I like them, work great, less dust.
I used to have both front rotors smoking after uphill runs lmao. I ended up getting some Powerstop slotted/drilled rotors and pads and then I overheated my brake fluid my first downhill run with them. Since I changed that its been braking fine and better than than stock imo
Powerstop are what I’ve been running on a few cars with no issues.
I went with powerstop geomet coated for rust prevention as I drive in a high humidity area and sometimes on the beach with saltwater.
Akebono ceramic pads and zimmermann or powerstop rotors. Those rotors are my top choices.
i just bought power stop carbon ceramic pads and drilled and slotted rotors for my MK6 Jetta, good compromise between performance and dailiablity, plus the rotors look good
I use powerstops and love them. They don't warp and the silver plating on the entire disk didn't rust through. Where I live in Ocean county NJ there are some horrible drivers and these have stood some hard testing.
I got a set of PowerStop Evolution Sport D&S coated rotors for my 2010 Toyota RAV4 V6 4WD Limited, both front and back. Along with the Z23 Carbon fiber ceramic pads. These things are a BEAST! I can still modulate my speed, but when a high-speed stop is needed, they are up to the task.
I have the evolution set from power stop, worked great no noise, no dust. But yeah hadn't had any issues with power stop rotors or pads. If you looking for a good daily pad that keeps the dust down I'd go carbon
My Power Stop Evolution Z23 Rotors warped in about 6 months / 7,500 miles.
