I use Duralast Gold rotors on my two endurance race cars - they are great. I wouldn't expect the basic ones to be anything special, but they should work just fine.

Pros: great for endurance racing

My '21 brakes started shaking around 20K miles as well. I installed Dynamic Friction coated rotors and ceramic pads from Rockauto. They have lasted longer than the stock OEM brakes with similar performance.

Pros: Longer lasting, similar performance
Cons: Shaking brakes
Vehicle: Toyota Highlander
Mileage: 20000 km

I've also got a Type R and Rock Auto does sell one-piece blanks for our cars. They're made by Dynamic Friction. I had a pair of two-piece Paragon front rotors that I bought used but sold them to keep consumables cost down. They did well on track. Haven't tracked the blanks yet, but am registered for an event in August.

Pros: good on track, cost effective
Vehicle: Honda Civic
Part number: 60459065 FRONT AND 60459067 REAR

Just swapped my fronts again at ~43K. Used VW rotors this time, pads are just fine/have tons of life left. It really comes down to pad deposits from my wife's driving this only around town/short trips and being an early braker.

Pros: pads have tons of life
Cons: pad deposits
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 43000 km

One of my front rotors on my 2019 was showing significant grooving by about 1500 miles. At 12k miles, it isn't really all that much worse. No pulsing or judder.

Pros: no pulsing or judder
Cons: significant grooving
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 19312 km

I purchased a 2021 Jetta with approx. 14,xxx miles on it. After a 4 hour drive, I noticed what sounded like an extremely rusty brake rotor sound (metal/metal grinding) as well as the sound of an unbalanced wheel or un-evenly worn tire. A local VW dealership reported that both rear tires were showing major cupping and that the brake rotors were so rusted that they were pitting and would not pass VA state safety inspection.

Pros: none
Cons: rusty brake rotors, cupped tires
Mileage: 14000 km

Am I right to be upset that I was told the rotors are warped because I went through a puddle with hot brakes? Costing me $1300 to fix!

Cons: rotors warped
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 23000 km
