He's worked hard with brembo this year to get a set up he likes and they said they made a breakthrough and that's clear in the performance.
Element3 rotors are A++
I've had great luck with Raybestos Element 3 rotors..
J'ai mis des disques brembo Xtra (haute teneur en carbone). Alors oui quand tu tapes un 200 -> 100 c'est super efficace, mieux que l'origine. Mais pour du freinage classique je sens aucune diff.
For rotors, you’re lighting money on fire if you get anything other than a set of non coated blanks. You aren’t going fast enough, or running long enough sessions to get them so hot that you need drilled and slotted in an attempt to drop every degree you can off the heat sinks, especially if you aren’t pushing for the full session. A quick browse on RockAuto shows that the cheapest drilled and slotted is just under x3 the price of a Raybestos blank. You can warp a set every weekend and still be way ahead (I promise you won’t warp a set every weekend unless you’re abusing the brakes).
Raysbestos Street Performance rotors are excellent. They are high-carbon and better able to manage heat and resist warping and cracking than ordinary grey iron rotors.
Got this kit from ECS Tuning: Front And Rear Brake Kit (340x30/300x12) Featuring Brembo rotors and Ceramic OE Equivalent Pad www.ecstuning.com You do not need to remove rear caliper bracket to remove rotor. FYI. I used ODB11 to unlock the rear and you will need a brake caliper tool to compress and turn them in. DO NOT JUST COMPRESS THEM. While you are in there. Clean up around your sway bar links and other bushings. I like lubing them up a little just because why not while you are there.
The previous owner had a brand new set of front and rear pads and rotors that came with the car when I bought it. Raybestos brand, assuming he bought them off Rockauto. Anyways, front went together no problem but the rear calipers needed pressed in to fit new the pads.
I’m bummed a year into my new Brembo rotors and they are rusting at the hub. It looked like they had silver paint on them. Damn it.
I hate the OEM Brembos. There were several micro-fractures on the holes when I swapped out the rotors.
