my 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 has 71k+ miles and coming up on 3 years of ownership. I plug in when, where, how I want. ONE thousand charging sessions. It has ZERO range loss.....300 miles per charge still. I have no battery degradatiion. State of Health = 100%.
My replacement was a Blue Top 34M and it's 8 years old. No issues with Optima here.
I've had great luck with the Optima Yellow Top DS46B24R for Gen2.
I've run Optima red tops for years and never had a problem.
Ended up finding a red top in the back of the store at Advanced (34R with 800CCA). If you go with Optima know that it takes some modification with the wiring. I needed to remove a cable tie and relocate one of the positive leads. Outback started right up and is running great.
I had a Yellow top optima installed for my subaru around 2015, it lasted until just today - held out well
I’ve had an Optima Red Top in my 2012 JK Rubicon for about 8 years. My mechanic recently said the battery is on its way out, and now the Jeep is struggling to turn over. I’ve heard Optima’s quality has dropped since I bought mine.
I went to an official dealership and they told me the battery is faulty, and replacing it would cost around 185 euro, labor included. I checked online and it seemed like in the Netherlands a comparable battery costs between 85 and 120 euro.
Optimas don’t seem to hold up any better than the AGM from the parts store.
Optoma are shit nowadays anyway.
