Battery OEM Nissan or Varta

I just replaced my xm3 batteries (they are cp1254a3 with 60mah) and I replaced it with the newer version (cp1254a4 with 74mah). No issues and more capacity.

Yep. Varta is a good battery. My battery died this year in March. I replaced it and paid 800 for a Varta battery for my dodge charger. So far so good!

Varta battery refused to die even after 5years mannn that’s a wow ..to add on I don’t use my car often i use fireblade as my daily commute for the last two years..

My XM3s went from a good 6 hour run time down to 2.5 hours in about 20 months. The last month alone has seen 30 mins wiped off them.

I went with the Varta A4 models bought from a Czech supplier called [Battex.cz](https://Battex.cz).

Varta are a pretty decent brand of battery (although their consumer AAs suck), would not expect it from them.

I just replaced my dead Zenipower OEM cells with Varta 1254 A3. So far the battery life is exactly as specified by Sony. We'll see if the Vartas can handle the charging regime.

The older VARTA battery could only hold a charge for 15 - 30 minutes at the end. It has been in use since January 2020 and was out of use for 8 months in 2022.

ZeniPower battery could still hold a charge for a long time. Estimating 5-7 hours.

We're having the same issue on our 22 Pathfinder. We're on our second battery. The first was replaced under warranty in January '24 after failing and stranding my wife out of town in the cold. It took 6 hours of testing before they would approve replacement.

they do suffer more with battery degredation due to crap thermal management (older models).
