Battery OEM Nissan or Bosch

Bosch Battery

I purchased 2 as a drop in replacement for an old 1400VA APC UPS.

I couldn't find the datasheet on the bosch website but I found out via a few online posts that these batteries are actually manufactured by Exide.

Pros: perfect battery spec

FYI I went with the Bosch 96R. It weights about 34 lbs and fits no problem although I did need to add a small wedge on top of the bottom lip to lock it down with the stock mount. It has a 3 year free replacement warranty and cost me just about $87 OTD @ PepBoys after turning in my $15 core. It's been more than a year and the battery has been rock solid with very little use.

Pros: rock solid, good warranty
Cons: needed small wedge
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Bosch Battery

The last two batteries I bought for my GTi, were specified for a Mk4 Golf/Jetta. Both of them were Bosch and they are both different sizes. Both of them ran me about $150 I went with the Mk4 batteries because Pepboys didnt carry for a Mk3. But both of them are fine

Pros: fine quality, good price
Cons: different sizes
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Bosch Battery

just replaced 4 year old battery in my 2010 Wagon. It was not really a rocket science but it was nice to have a write up nonetheless. The biggest issue for me was to figure out group size for my battery: supposedly both 47 and 48 work but I wanted to get an exact model. After some online research and hard measurements it was clear my current battery was group size 48. Went with Bosch from Pep Boys for 108 (with tax and after 30% coupon). Despite the car being without the battery for 8+ hours, I had no issues with codes, errors, etc. The only thing I needed to adjust was the time.

Pros: no issues with codes, good price
Cons: difficult to find group size

OEM Nissan Battery

I have a 2015 Nissan LEAF SV. In -25C or colder (and to be fair, it's rarely -25C (not counting the windchill) during the day), with moderate heat on (set heat to 19C or less) plus heated steering wheel and heated seats (both of which use relatively very little power), I can lose a good 60% of my range

Pros: save a lot on fuel
Cons: battery degradation
Vehicle: Nissan Leaf

Rating 3.5

the IP64 battery cover can't close because the battery is too high, it should work no problem with any other 18V Bosch battery including the Procore 4.0Ah.

Good light though, it's really bright.

And heavy.

Pros: Good light, really bright
Cons: battery too high, heavy
