2014 Mazda 3, about 65k km.\n\n2nd battery only because I left the lights on one time a few years ago and needed a replacement. Nil problems otherwise.
2018 Mazda 6 is going fine.\n\nProbably due for a battery soon as preventative maintenance.
A friend of mine had a 2010 ( or 2009 ) Fusion Hybrid that needed a new battery, he went to the dealer and he was quoted over $8K. He then found $3K 'aftermarket' batteries and at the end he was able to find a shop that did the whole thing for under $2.5K.
Even then the Mazda oem battery is trash. My battery only last me 15k miles, and I bought it new.
I Have had the Mazda CX60 Azumi Tukami G40 Turbo 6cl petrol engine for 12 months now and have had this back at the dealership several times. I believe I have the lemon of the bunch.
Continual Istop issues, it has needed reprogramming twice. The battery has failed testing and needed replacing.
the stock battery only lasted 3 years. My VW prior lasted 7 on the OEM battery.
Battery died less than 12000 miles. Apparently Mazda is using cheap batteries, as this seems to be a common issue. But I still see others complain about the same thing.
first issue I had was the battery at around 2000 miles, it was replaced under warranty.
So far have not had any issues except for dud OEM battery, kriginal and warranty...
Both of mine were defective. Ford replaced them.
