I have this car. Most important is that below -12C, the gas engine stays on, and won't let you drive around on electric alone. That accounts for several months of driving in our winters. Secondly, even in temps below +10C, you have less access to the battery's energy, so your range drops even independently from the usual cold temp range losses.
XLT 22 Hybrid, aside from the shitty OEM battery that was just swapped out to an AGM one and the numerous recalls, still loving my truck. Gas is still great and the bed works very well.
Had the OEM battery until 2021 before it died. I think six years in the NE is pretty decent for an OEM battery. 78k miles on the truck so far. No issues with the starter or the new battery since replacement.
just had to get the battery replaced on our 24 bronco, same thing kept going into battery saver
My battery conked out at the normal time after 6 years. But it still didn’t give me any warning that it was dying. 2019 Mazda 3 here
Mazda OEM batteries are trash. Always have been. 35 years with Mazda and we stocked a ton of them.
The only time I had issues with my battery was the original one when it was on its death bed. But I remember needing to clean the posts a few times and it would start right up. Never was left with a check engine light but when it acted up it would do weird things here and there.
I’ve had my 3 for 4 years and I’m on my 3rd battery.
Incan confirm they suck… i have a 2023 mazda and i have gone through two batteries. The second one died on me this week. Both were mazda batteries
Mazdas OEM batteries are horrible. Had the one that came with the car be weak so Mazda replaced it under warranty. Not even 5 months later that new battery dies, tried jumping and it was completely dead and a jump could not start it.
