Battery OEM Mazda or Bosch

I noticed that between 4ah and 5ah battery is little difference, but not much, 15% i would say. BUT 5.5 procore seems like 50% better than 4AH bosch battery and at least 15-20% stronger than bosch 5AH battery. When i say stronger, it is noticable in speed,strenght when i cut pellets, or drill concrete, or doing some 100mm or larger screws.

I used euro car parts 444770127 which is a mid range bosch battery. Don't remember any issues

Stock OEM Mazda CX5 battery is weak AF. My 2019 battery died in Jan 2024 after coming back from Disney trip that lasted 7 days. Got one from Costco. Higher CCA for less than OEM from Mazda. Installed myself.

Bosch - 2.5 years so far,

Varta - 1.3 years before dying

My cargo bike advertises a range of 40-70 miles depending on level of boost. I get up to 40, at the very most, but never more. I use minimum boost only, and usually don’t ride up any major hills. I’ve wonder if this is just grade inflation for marketing or if my Bosch battery was just old/crappy when I got it.

Mazdas OEM batteries are horrible. Had the one that came with the car be weak so Mazda replaced it under warranty. Not even 5 months later that new battery dies, tried jumping and it was completely dead and a jump could not start it.

My'21 CX9 battery is weak, and i can clearly tell its low on voltage after sitting without being started for a week. Never tried playing music on battery though in this car.

Basically many of the oem stock items for mazda are fine, but have notoriously short life expectancy. They have to cut corners somewhere. Battery and tires are the ones I've noticed that are good for a couple years at most before they are ran through. So yeah, I've had a mazda thay needed a new battery after 2 years, one that needed a new battery after 3 years. Just how they go.

Worst part about Mazda cars - battery can silently die on you. Instead once you're ~3 years in you're gambling every time you go for a drive.
