As you can see, straight from the jug, the Mazda coolant is resisting both corrosion and freezing better than the Motomaster.

Pros: resisting corrosion and freezing

I'd say to change out the coolant, and transmission fluid. DO NOT GET A TRANSMISSION FLUSH!!! Just get a place to change out the transmission filter, and top off the transmission fluid.

Cons: DO NOT FLUSH

Yes I had low coolant in my brand new CX-30 and had to top it off 2-3 times with the FL22 fluid (factory OEM). I think some air is left in the system that gets out over time. Since then no issue with the coolant level

Pros: no issue since
Cons: low coolant initially
Vehicle: Mazda
Mileage: 94000 km
Part number: FL 22

This is normal. Mazda master tech. I work on these everyday. Every oil change they need to be topped off. The coolant evaporates from the bottle pretty quick.

Pros: coolant evaporates quickly

Proton original radiator is of very poor quality. Rust prone. Change it as soon and use premixed Toyota Coolant bought from Toyota Service Center to avoid fakes. Toyota SLLC and an aftermarket radiator will last the remaining lifetime of your Saga.

Pros: Toyota Coolant avoids fakes
Cons: Proton radiator poor quality

You're not supposed to add tap water... distilled water is fine for emergencies, but always top up with coolant whenever possible

Pros: distilled water for emergencies
Cons: not tap water

Mods: None, staying showroom stock. TCL Buyers Guide Negatives / future ownership issues: A) Valley Plate coolant leak: Look for pink crystals (dried coolant) underside of engine near where transmission meets up w engine. Also check upper radiator hose where it connects to radiator. Workaround: 50k/5 year coolant maintenance.
