Alternator Denso or OEM Mazda

Denso Alternator

My auto shop is replacing the alternator on my 2013 Sienna for $657 with a DENSO part which is the only brand you should be using IMO.

Pros: DENSO part recommended
Vehicle: Toyota Sienna

Just bought one better denso at the auto parts store last year, was a 20min install, btw need to remove the rf tire and plastic to easily access as well as the bottom plates. Imo nice solid car and needs a decent part.

Pros: nice solid car

Denso Alternator

Denso for sure, will last as long as the original, I think 20 years was a good life. The no name and parts store brand ones almost always fail shortly after install

Pros: long lifespan, original quality
Cons: generic brands fail quickly

Denso Alternator

With alternators and starters, only get Denso new or remanufactured if you can. The part store remans are junk.

Pros: Denso new or remanufactured
Cons: part store remans junk

Denso Alternator

I did the Alternator on my ES350 (same 2GRFE engine) and it sucked. It was my first major repair project and took almost all day for me.

Pros: worth saving $700
Cons: pain, took all day
Vehicle: Lexus
