Alternator Denso or OEM Mazda

Denso Alternator

Personally I’d go with a Denso 27060‑50230. More expensive but it’s an OE part not third party. The one in your car was originally a Denso and it lasted almost 30 years, right?

Pros: OE part, long lasting
Cons: more expensive
Part number: 27060‑50230

Denso Alternator

Look into a Denso remanufactured alternator. They are the Honda OE brand and are designed to work with Honda's dual-mode charging system. You can find them for under $300 at places like Rockauto or NAPA. I recently replaced mine on a '13 Honda CRV with no issues.

Pros: designed to work with Honda
Vehicle: Honda

I feel like I got a steal for my alternator replaced in my Avalon. Battery light came on and I went and bought a reman Denso at NAPA for $340 after the refund for the core. It was done in 45 minutes

Pros: steal, done in 45 minutes

Denso only aftermarket will leave you stranded every couple years. I have went through 2 of them. They both gave a very short warnings before they go.

Pros: short warnings before failure
Cons: will leave you stranded
