GENERAL TIRE Tires

Rating 4.0

I would recommend the General g max AS 05 or newer AS 07. They're pretty affordable and are great all seasons. On Tirerack you can see the ratings and can get them pretty cheap there as well. I've had those on my old ES 350 and recently on my 2022 Camry SE after the oem tires became unbearably loud and wore out at 40k miles.

Pros: affordable, great all seasons
Cons: OEM tires unbearably loud
Mileage: 40000 km

MICHELIN Tires

Rating 5.0

I put Michelin Cross climate 2's on after the stock tires wore out. Been super happy with them. Much better in the rain than the Bridgestone EL 440's. Maybe a slight loss in fuel economy 1-2 mpg in certain situations but mostly unchanged. I'll probably stick with the Michelin's going forward.

Pros: Much better in rain
Cons: slight loss in MPG

Continental Tires

Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02s are a bargain for a flagship summer tire that's excellent in the rain. I have them on my Si and run them daily and for autocross. While not as as sticky as a 200TW summer tire, they are really great in dry or wet conditions, and reasonably priced. I also had DWS06+ on my previous daily, a 2013 328i, and I liked those too.

Pros: excellent in rain, great in dry, reasonably priced
Cons: not as sticky as 200TW
Vehicle: Honda Civic

Rating 4.5

I have a friend that runs Firehawk indys and I've driven the car, it's a decent tire. But if you have Michelin budget, get the Michelins. I'm on my 3rd set in a row, fantastic all around tire (unless it's winter)

Pros: fantastic all around
Cons: not for winter

Goodyear Tires

I recently (this year) bought Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate in 255/40/19 and they have been absolutely great in the dry and wet so far. They also get some pretty high, respectable scores in Tire Rack's testing

Pros: great in dry, great in wet

BFGoodrich Tires

My take after several sets of KO2 and the competition. KO2s look good and are very durable for off-road work. Excellent puncture resistance and tough sidewalls. For on-road they start fairly quiet but tend to get noisy after wearing. They flat-out suck in the rain, marginal at best in snow/ice, and tend to push in corners (poor lateral traction).

Pros: durable, excellent puncture resistance, tough sidewalls, good off-road
Cons: noisy after wear, poor in rain, marginal in snow/ice, poor lateral traction

I replaced my factory tires at only 9000 miles. then I purchased falcon wildpeaks that wore down so fast that I was able to prorate the tire warranty at only 18,000 miles usage.

Pros: prorated tire warranty
Cons: wore down fast
Mileage: 9000 km
